Race day notes
- ·Spa-Francorchamps is the most weather-prone circuit on the F1 calendar — it can be sunny at the start and completely flooded by lap 20. This is not an exaggeration.
- ·The Belgian Grand Prix is regularly partly or fully run under red flag conditions due to heavy rain and poor visibility.
- ·Camping at the circuit (in the Ardennes forests) is the preferred option for most fans — it removes all transport issues and is part of the Spa experience.
- ·August in the Ardennes: 15–22°C in good weather, can drop to 8°C with rain. Full cold-weather layers are recommended regardless of the forecast.
