Kintetsu from Nagoya to Shiroko
From Nagoya Station: take the JR/Meitetsu to Nagoya, then Kintetsu Nagoya Line to Shiroko Station (40 min, Β₯680). From Shiroko, shuttle buses run to the circuit during race weekend (10 min). Important: JR Passes are NOT valid on Kintetsu β purchase a separate ticket.
π‘ Tip: The Kintetsu Express (Kaisoku Kyuko) is faster β make sure to board an express service, not an ordinary (futsu) train which stops at every station.
From Osaka Kansai (KIX) (KIX)
90km from Suzuka Circuit
Haruka Express to Osaka, then Kintetsu to Shiroko
Haruka Express from KIX to Tsuruhashi Station (85 min, Β₯2,610). Change to Kintetsu Osaka Line toward Nagoya β alight at Shiroko (55 min, Β₯1,200). Shuttle to circuit from Shiroko Station.
π‘ Tip: Buy through to Shiroko at KIX Station. The route is well-signposted for race weekend β follow the crowd.
From Suzuka city centre to Suzuka Circuit
Suzuka circuit is in Mie Prefecture. The nearest station is Shiroko (θΏιη½ε) on the Kintetsu Nagoya Line, 3km from the circuit. Shuttle buses run from Shiroko during race weekend.
Shuttle from Shiroko Station
Race weekend shuttle buses run continuously from Shiroko Station (θΏιη½ε) to the circuit gates (γ²γΌγ). Round trip included in many race packages, or purchased separately for Β₯400.
π‘ Tip: The shuttle queue at Shiroko can be long on race day β plan to arrive 2+ hours before the race.
π³ Transport card β IC Card (Suica / Manaca / ICOCA)
A contactless IC card works on Kintetsu trains and most public transport in Japan. Suica (JR East) and Manaca (Nagoya area) are most useful. Load at any JR ticket machine. Note: IC cards do not give access to Shinkansen reserved seating.

- Β·JR Pass is NOT valid on Kintetsu trains β you must purchase a separate Kintetsu ticket.
- Β·Suzuka is famous for unpredictable weather β the Japanese Grand Prix has been run in rain, sunshine, and typhoon conditions. Bring waterproofs regardless of forecast.
- Β·Post-race trains from Shiroko are extremely crowded β expect to stand for the full 40-minute journey to Nagoya.
- Β·Circuit staff are exceptionally courteous and helpful β they speak limited English but route signs are in English.
