Season finale

The 2027 World Marathon Majors run from Tokyo in March to New York in November. London is the one to watch: for the first and only time it runs over two days, Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 April 2027, with 100,000 runners. Most places go through ballots or qualifying times, so if you have a bib (or are waiting on a ballot) it pays to book a cancellable hotel now.

💡 Marathon travel tip

Arrive 2–3 days before race day — enough time to collect your bib, do a short shake-out run, and rest. Choose a hotel near the start line or finish area to minimise travel on race morning. Boston and New York start outside the city centre, so factor in early transport.
